Motre than 40 veteran and classic cars are on display, from a 1906 Rover to a 1969 Jaguar E-Type. Visitors may view cars undergoing restoration.

 

Post Office and Museum

The island is open from Easter to the end of October, weather permitting. It is closed on Sundays and on some Saturdays in April and October.

Caldey Post Office was built in c1913, shortly after the Monastery was completed. Its unusual design, created by John Coates Carter, blends well with the extravagant architecture of the Abbey buildings. It was purpose built as a post office and in earlier years also served as a general store.

It is still a working sub-post office offering all the normal services to visitors and islanders. Caldey commemorative stamps can be purchased and used in addition to normal postage to add a distinctive touch to visitors' postcards.

The Post Office also houses a small museum which gives an insight into the history, archaeology and life of the island.
