Gränums distillery is one of Sweden`s three distilleries left with the equipment largely intact.Home distilleries have been permitted in various periods in Sweden`s history. 1860, it became prohibited. When the farmers lost their right to burn the spirit, they went together and formed the stock companies. The distillery in Gränum waqs built in 1897 as stock company with four owners. 1948 the farmer Axel Svensson bought the distillery and drove it to ruin in 1971. The distillery was shut down with all the equipment in usable condition. 1993 the building became an architectural monument. The museum is now owned by a foundation.

It is possible to make a dinner arragement with wine near THE ORIGINAL PRODUCED.

"On Ebbamåla Bruk you can feel the smell from foundry and smithy and you can hear the sounds from straps and machines. It`s a unique, living industrial museum and working life museum by Mörrumsån, which has been awarded "the Industrial Museum of the Year" in Sweden. It`s unique because all the buildings, machines and tools from the industrial revolution still is left. On guided tours we`ll tell about the exciting history, make a tour and run the machines and the belt drive. New for this year is that you can see Swedens oldest hydroelectric power station in opration. Workers` tenement block is now on STF Youth hostel Ebbamåla Bruk. The museum describe an epoch in the farmer society during the 19th century and the first part of the 20th century. The wagon museum, those days tools. The conferenceroom in connection with the museum is a perfect meeting-place for an hour or two of work or discussion in an cultural and historical environment.
