The museum was founded in 1967 in the 19th century farmstead ‘‘Riekstini’‘, where the Latvian writer and painter Janis Jaunsudrabins (1877-1962) spent his childhood. The museum houses a memorial exhibition (personal belongings, photographs, books, pictures) and a display of 19th-20th century domestic objects. The Jaunsudrabins and Saknites family burial ground can be found in Disku cemetery (2.5 km away). ‘‘ (Latvian Museum Association)

"Voldemars Jakobsons Memorial Museum was opened in 1976 in ‘‘Galdini’‘, Bebri village. The house was built in 1870-1876 and is a historical monument of local significance. The aim of the museum is to provide an insight into the life and creative activity of the artist VoldemArs Jakobsons (1899-1974) and to arouse people's interest in the development of Latvian sculpture of the 20th century. The house has been preserved so that it looks as it did during VoldemArs Jakobsons' lifetime. It is surrounded by a garden designed by the artist himself. The permanent exhibition is dedicated to his creative work and includes drawings, sculptures, ethnographic rarities, ancient furniture, a small library and diaries. ‘‘ (Latvian Museum Association)

“(1318) – originally built as a Livonian order castle, later (in 1561) becoming the property of the Polish king Singismund August. During the Great Northern Wars the castle was partially destroyed and rebuilt in the 18th century, adding baroque towers and garret roofs. Today it houses the Jekabpils city history museum. “The Jekabpils History Museum was founded in 1920. It is one of the oldest regional museums in Latvia. Currently its collection comprise around 40 000 items that represent the fields of regional archaeology, history and ethnography. Since 1996 the museum has been housed in Krustpils Castle. At the beginning of the 13th century the Archibishop Albert of Riga, began to build a fortification on the banks of the River Daugava 140 km from Riga. In 1237 Archbishop de Magdeburg finished building the castle and named it Krustpils, which means "the castle of the cross". “At the Rainis Museum "Tadenava" the visitor can view Rainis' family property including a 100-year-old log house set in the peaceful countryside. Rubene Nature Park

"Nature park, estrade, stone “Devil’s foot”.
The municipality chairman Bronislavs Oboruns in the 1950s started development of the park. It was his hobby. Gradually the park developed into a beautiful culture and leisure facility.
In the 1970s the park already had many decorative plants – trees, bushes and flowers, a large estrade, a fountain in the shape of a water-lily shaped fountain and a spring with dolomite bed surrounded by flowers. A romantic bridge leads to the island in the lake.
A merry-go-round and a swing has been arranged in the pine wood. A couple of swans and wild ducks live in the lakes." (Jekabpils City)
