The museum is the oldest house on the cadastral area of the town, built after the year 1729. The house, called after the painter August Frind, is the oldest preserved house in Krasna Lipa. From 1785 the house was inhabited for nearly one century by the Zillichs, an outstanding family of doctors who had their office in the house. After the World War II the house gradually decayed but was eventually renovated by a private owner after 1991 and in 1995 the Regional Museum of the Czech Switzerland and the environs of Krasna Lipa opened in the building a permanent exhibitions of the history of tourism and period photographs of the town and its environs. The house is the only wooden building that remained preserved on the square. It is a house with braced basement and framed storey which is characteristic of the region. It is worth mentioning that the house was considered a typical urban house and in the time of the Biedermeier style it was decorated by precious plastering outside and inside. The house is an important landmark of the town.

• Every year the exhibition in the "salon" is updated - paintings by Frind, history of obstetrics etc.
The museum is located on the second floor, the first floor is occupied by a patisserie shop (an occasion to sweeten your visit).
