Filial was founded in June 1997. Art collection on Christian subject, created by artists having any relation to Crimea (paintings, graphic, sculpture, art photos, documents, books, letters, photos, archives, newspapers, magazines, divine service and cult items, etc.) is the ownership of the Crimean Republican fund «Art in the name of Christ» and is on temporary storage in CRMRS. Collection has not analogues in museums of Ukraine and UIC (Union of Independent Countries), the most part of gathered materials and exhibits allow to create an exposition acquainting with the history of Orthodoxy on the Crimean peninsular.

Honored artists of the ARC V. Golynsky, V. Grachev, P. Greiser, L. Greiser, A. Andreev, V. Shaub – Chairman of the Union of German Artists, have taken part in gathering of the collection. The pearls of the collection are works of Bostrem George Eduardovich and private things belongings to saints and devotees of Tavrida.

The museum exists as the filial of CRMRS. Local Mass Media wrote many times about the museum, and magazines such as: «Novoe vremia (New Time)» and «October» (Moscow), « Orthodoxy Russia » (USA), museum booklet was published; nowadays means are looked for publishing of an album about Bostrem G.E. creative path.
