The CISE-Interpretation Center of the Serra da Estrela is a unit of the City of Seia created with the aim of promoting the knowledge and dissemination of natural and cultural heritage of Serra da Estrela.

The Centre is located in Quinta do Carvalhal, spacious and pleasant green space with a central location in the urban heart of the city of Seia, which quickly relates the visitor`s attention by the relevance of environmental values and landscape they are.

The Museum of the Toys shows a collectanea of 4500 toys from Portugal and from the world, from the past to the present and this way, serves as a souvenir of our earliest childhood and how we grow as individuals and as community changing us in the actual society.

This museum was born not with the intention of assembling the greatest collection of toys, but with the purpose of making popular its knowledge between the big public and especially among the young generations. Remember to those who visit it, that the toys, besides being a source of joy, are also, a valuable element to the perfect development of the child.

In this sense, in order to be a memory of games and toys of the past and of the present, that keeps, that exposes and that communicates the cultural and industrial patrimony, makes part of its program of performance the collaboration with schools, the guided visits with pedagogical purposes and the workshops.
