"The 28 wel-designed rooms display the horrors of WWII and go a long way towards explaining Belarus' apparent obsession with the war, which transformed the land and the people of the country. Particularly harrowing are the photos of partisans being executed in recognisable central Minsk locations. The Museum also graphically depicts the Nazi atrocities against Jews during the war, giving special attention to Maly Trostenets concentration camp where more than 200,000 Jews from Minsk and surrounding cities were murdered.
