The collection consists of ten thousand articles related to the history of the Dutch drugstore branch. There are over 150 yawners, the ancient symbol of a drugstore, to be seen, amongst them the largest yawner in the world. There are two complete shops.,one from 1901 and the other from 1934. Tins, glass bottles and china pots, where in the past, supplies were stored, are also part of the collection.

The water castle Slot Zuylen was originally surrounded by water and only accessible via a little bridge. The oldest parts of the castle consist of the remnants of the tower from the 13th century. The mixture of elements from five centuries of building and living are still visible. The furnishing has hardly been changed since the 18th century.
The most important room in the castle is the Gobelin room. Since three centuries a splendid tapestry adorn the walls. In the cabinet rummers and goblets, which are part of a very important glass collection, are shown.
In the 19th century a park in English landscape style was laid out and a bower - a small summerhouse - was built.

Jits Bakker art foundation

Museum Beelden op Beerschoten is a statue garden with sculptures of the well-known Dutch artist Jits Bakker. The non-profit museum also offers the ability for other young artist to show their work to the public in events organized twice a year.
Even though sculpture forms a major part of his artistic endeavors, Jits Bakker (Renkum, 1937) also works as a painter, a drawer, aquarellist, glass artist, graphic artist and ornament maker.

In the museum all sorts of things concerning the traditional costume and the culture of Bunschoten-Spakenburg are on display. A collection of more than 120 dolls will give you a good impression of the history of the traditional costume ranging from original christening dresses and marriage costumes to mourning clothes. Apart from this about 20 miniature models of 'botters' are exhibited including both 'hookers' and 'trawlers' as boats for the vertical netfishing industry. A collection of embroidered biblical scenes from England adorns the walls of the museum. Furthermore there is a room with glass cases full of knitted beaded handbags, long winter sleeves decorated with beads, silverware, handpainted 'kraplappen', the upper garment of the Spakenburg costume, and a quilt exhibition.

Foundation 'Amersfoort in C'

Armando (Amsterdam, 1929) is said to be one of the major post-war artists of the Netherlands. He is held in high esteem both national and internationally as an artist, writer, film and documentary maker and violinist. The museum is intended as a documentation and information centre on the work and life of Armando, gradually cataloguing and documenting his entire artistic career. The museums collection of works by Armando consists of twenty large paintings and one large sculpture. This collection is supplemented by a large number of works from the artist’s total oeuvre, on long-term loan which together provide a representative picture of the oeuvre of the artist from the ‘50s until today.

The Mondriaanhuis has three collections: its own collection of constructivist and concrete art, the IDAC-collection and that of the ICN (Instituut Collectie Nederland). The ICN-collection contains representative works by very well-known artists, such as Ad Dekkers, Joost Baljeu, Bob Bonies, Jan Schoonhoven and Carel Visser.
There are also some privately owned works on loan. The core of the collection consists of work by contemporary artists, working further in the line of Mondrian’s geometrical-abstract style: paintings, sculpture, reliefs and work on paper (drawings, watercolours, gouaches, pastels, collages, graphics, and silk-screen prints). The museum has built up a large collection of constructivist and concrete art. Some 450 works from this collection were donated by the artists, including Getulio Alviani, Hellmut Bruch, Norman Dilworth, Anthony Hill, Yvonne Kracht, Vera Molnar, Jesus Rafaël Soto and Jean Spencer.
The museum is located in the birthplace of painter Piet Mondrian (1872-1944) and the adjoining school. Mondrian's father was headmaster of this school. Mondrian lived here from 1872 untill 1880.

Foundation Collection Military Tradition

Closed on New Years day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

The museum gives you an insight into the history and traditions of the Netherlands armed forces from their foundation till today. The development of military garments and accessories is made visible by means of dozens of original uniforms, among other things. The dresses worn on parade and in the field, by general and private, from the Eighty Years War until the present mission in Iraq, are on display. Changing exhibitions on various subjects.
