18th century park, located near the Zasa river mill pond cascade as landscape park. A careful observer will notice the Werewolf Tree, the Devil’s Stone, the holy spring and romantic bridges. The secrets will be revealed only by a knowing local guide.
The park is located on both sides of Zasa river at the mill pond cascade. Height above the sea level in the territory of the park fluctuates between 109 and to 119.6 metres. Arranging of the park started together with construction of the palace of Heinrich von Zass (the place Zasulauks in Riga has also been named after him). Thee composition has the trends of 18th century romantic landscape park. The park reminds the Gatcina park in miniature.
Later Zasa was owned by baron, Carskoje Selo administrator Greig, English by ntionality and maintained his manor as one of the richest and most spectacular in the region.
The church located on the hill near the park, built in 1750 and has been included in the list of Latvia`s artefacts protected by the state.
